Root Chakra- (Muladhara)- Earth- (Red)

Location- Base of spine, perineum, between genitals and anus.


Glands- Adrenal


Physical Body parts- Bones, Blood, Lower back, pelvis, tailbone, hips, legs, penis and testicles, colon, prostate, spine, teeth, immune system, and large intestine.


Physical imbalances-Lower back pain, hemorrhoids, constipation, knee problems, weight problems, sciatica, varicose veins, rectal tumors/cancer, degenerative arthritis


Mental and emotional imbalances- Insecure in yourself and your environment. Anxious, afraid often, frustrated more than usual, ability to stand up for self.


Overactive traits- paranoid, aggressive, nervous, Question stability of life, love, and career, Future feels confusing, Domineering behaviors, attached to materials more than usual, constantly engage in adrenaline seeking activities, overly protective and strict about boundaries, crave physical exercise more than usual, Hording items more than usual, crave comfort foods, or often overeating.


Underactive traits- Feel disconnected from universe, and or family and relatives, Actions of “spacey”, tire out easily, depressed more than usual, neglect your needs, constantly disorganized, Lethargic, Low self-discipline, stay home more than usual due to sadness, often misjudge boundaries, lose weight unintentionally.

Solutions

Affirmation- “I am Mantra Chant- (LAM) Mantra Chant- (LAM)


Essential oils- sandalwood, patchouli, myrrh, vetiver, spikenard.


Yoga- crossed leg seated, yogi squat, standing forward bend, head to knee pose, reclining bound angle, supported corpse pose, supported child's pose, reclining bound angle pose, wide legged forward fold, low lunge, warrior 1,2, tree pose, and chair pose.


Crystals- red jasper, red carnelian, bloodstone, ruby, garnet, fire agate, obsidian, hematite, onyx, smoky quartz, black tourmaline, lodestone.


Plant feet barefoot in soil or sand at least 5 minutes a day.

Stomp feet to connect with earth or ground.

Make pottery.

Spend time in nature.
